Important Notes - Outdoor Games and Bowling Days
On June 3, students must have gym shoes to participate in the outdoor games. Students may wear other footwear to school, but for safety reasons, they must change to gym shoes for the games. Also, on our bowling day, June 4, students are asked to bring a sack lunch. Many students "fill up" on snacks at the bowling alley, so we want the students to be able to bring home any foods from lunch they are not able to eat. Thanks in advance for following these guidelines!
Subject Update:
- Spelling - No lesson next week!
- English - We will continue persuasive writing and adverbs next week.
- Reading - The students will be sharing their completed Photo Story projects. Students should save their projects on a flash drive so they can bring their projects home and share with families (if they have not done this already).
- Science - We will review what oceans are like, how ocean water moves, and what forces shape shorelines to prepare for the Chapter 12 test scheduled for Wednesday, May 29!
- Social Studies - The students are learning how, under Thomas Jefferson's presidency, our nation doubled in size and expanded settlement westward. Next week, we will also learn about another war with Britain, the War of 1812.
- Mrs. Strong's Math Class - The students are learning about lines and angles in Chapter 10. There will be a final homework review over Ch. 10, L. 1-6 on Thursday.
